The Base Server

Your 'Base Server' is the computer at 'our end of the internet' which is responsible for keeping your phone in touch with all your current team members (if you are in a team); allowing you to join or leave teams and generally supporting your use of the locAR m-app.

It is quite possible for you to be switched between base servers while you are using locAR. This may happen if, for example, you ask to join a team which is currently hosted on another base server. This may also happen if, for any reason, your phone loses contact with your current base server. Your locAR m-app always maintains a list of other base servers with which it can attempt to communicate.

Your current base server is indicated by a "Connected to ..." (blue background) status box message on the Data menu.
